Korea Computer Inc.(KOSDAQ, 054040) announced all time record quarterly sales of 90.6B Korean Won for the first quarter of 2011. Compared with the same period last year, the quarterly sales was increased by 24%, up 21.5B Korean Won in amount, and its operating profit was 2.5B Korean Won.   From the beginning of year 2011 KCI’s major customers had to go through challenging business circumstances because of global oversupply of LCD panels, its consequential price drops, and tighter inventory control by distribution channel.  As market responds to stronger demand on tablet PC from global market after 2Q this year, KCI’s sales is expected to catch up throughout 2Q period.
