Korea Computer Inc. (KOSDAQ, 05404) announced that on April 1^st, 2011 it entered into a master reseller agreement on NFC reader and software solutions of ViVOtech, Inc. Founded in 2001, Silicon Valley, USA based ViVOtech provides the key building blocks of the NFC ecosystem: smart applications for enhancing the customer shopping experience, wallet and trusted service manager (TSM) software, and point of sale systems.  VIVOtech’s NFC software and systems are the broadest, most tested and deployed worldwide.  Because of recent strong consumer demand on smart phones and NFC adoption as an international standard by aggressive NFC players including smart phone manufacturers and carriers, mobile payment infrastructure is going to expand rapidly and many new NFC applications and services are expected to appear in the market.  Based on the highly reliable and proven technology of ViVOtech, Korea Computer is going to provide customized and locally affordable NFC products and solutions to carriers, retail, and public industry as well as financial industry. Utilizing the collaborative partnership with ViVOtech and its global EMS services capability, Korea Computer plans to develop overseas markets in addition to an active promotion of ViVOtech’s NFC products and solution in a domestic market.
